OUR PURPOSE

Closing the insurance protection gap for those most at risk.

Closing the insurance protection gap for those most at risk.

Climate and natural catastrophe (NatCat) risks disproportionately affect Global South countrieswhere insurance penetration is low, and increasingly frequent catastrophic events result in significant loss and damage, coupled with the struggle to rebuild business activities and human livelihoods.

As climate change is rapidly intensifying, extreme weather events and natural disasters become more intense too. Developing risk transfer solutions tailored to the needs of underserved markets is an increasingly important and necessary tool to mitigate the financial impact of climate change and help those most at risk.

This is why we continue to focus on regions where we can have the greatest impact by prioritising vulnerable communities in countries eligible for official development assistance (ODA) across the Global South.

We believe that society’s capacity for climate action can best be reinforced through the building of climate resilience that contributes to sustainable economic growth, poverty reduction, and sustainable development.
